Job Summary: The Medicare Sales Agent primarily is responsible for prospecting, cross selling, and producing Medicare insurance accounts and assists with enrollment process. They will also assist clients in selecting insurance plans that best meet their needs, preferences, and budgets.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of carrier partner products to recommend appropriate Medicare products and programs based on customers’ needs and applicable regulations.

  • Assist in taking calls coming into the National Sales Center queue.

  • Meet and exceed sales goals by gaining quality leads, outside referrals and cross-selling existing client base with a consultative approach

  • Proactively build a network of new clients through a series of outreach strategies, including phone calls, in-person meetings, and social media

  • Re-shop & rewrite existing customer policies as needed

  • Enter all clients and prospects into the Agency Management System and work assigned activities.

  • Complete and successfully pass assigned Total CSR courses

  • Maintain a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, and other business contacts.

  • Communicate sales or service opportunities and customer concerns and suggestions with senior leadership.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid 240 or 215 license

Education and/or Experience:

  • At least 2 years of prior Medicare insurance sales experience is required

  • This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent (G.E.D.)

  • Must be a superb communicator able to analyze carefully complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial

  • The candidate must possess a current 240 or 215 license
