Overview

Reporting to the co-Lead of PopHIVE, the Program Administrator will play a key role in the continued development of the PopHIVE platform by providing program management of PopHIVE team members, students, and external collaborators and partners.

  • Lead interactions between stakeholders, including student research assistants, leadership, and external partners.

  • Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory forms, progress reports, presentations, manuscripts and press releases.

  • Coordinate the development of analytics plans and visualizations for posting on the project sub stack page.

  • Ensure student teams are following good coding and data management practices.

  • Assist with development of datasets and outputs for sharing with external stakeholders and the public.

  • Monitor regulatory requirements, grant reporting deadlines, and other research program related requirements for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify new opportunities for research and collaboration with academic, community, and corporate partners domestically and internationally.

  • Supervise a small team of student resources and provide necessary onboarding.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, international team.

3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

4. Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, Word and graphics skills, as well as familiarity with internet and social media platforms.

5. Demonstrated expertise using statistical programming languages, strong data visualization skills and familiarity with tools such as Rshiny, Tableau, D3.js, R, Python or similar.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Master's in Public Health.

2. Familiarity with general principles of epidemiology and infectious diseases through prior research and/or education.

3. Proven experience with analytical modeling and data visualization and programming languages including R and python.

4. Proven experience working with public health partners including national and international organizations.

Principal Responsibilities

1. In support of the overall mission, plans, directs and oversees programmatic activities. 2. Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies and procedures. 3. Manages program communications; identifies outreach potential, and promotes philanthropic and collaborative support of the program. 4. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans. 5. Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program. 6. Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative. Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives. Develops metrics to identify and measure the success of the program. 7. Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources, and contributes to the submission of grants and contracts supporting the program, including the annual submission and writing of all content areas and budgetary sections of grant applications. 8. Develops and manages the program's operating budget. 9. Manages the administrative infrastructure of the program. Manages human resources including staffing and hiring, supervision, performance development, counseling and discipline, if warranted. Oversees and manages information systems, facilities, and space needs. 10. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
