We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. Our aim is to provide customers with fully integrated solutions to enhance the reliability and safety of radiotherapy treatments. We closely collaborate with other engineering locations of Varian, mainly at our R&D site in Budapest, Hungary and Baden, Switzerland.

Our department is responsible for design and implementation of innovative and reliable quality assurance procedures for the newest treatment methods to support our business for delivery systems including photon, proton and brachy therapy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and verify software application for our products designed for running on radiotherapy systems.
  • Prepare and document architectural decisions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship for team members
  • Provide all necessary documentation related to this area of responsibility. 
  • Interest in gathering domain knowledge in the areas of radiotherapy quality assurance and medical image processing

Requirements:

  • Computer scientist (at least B.Sc. level), 5-8 years of experience in commercial software development in relevant industries.
  • Software development experience in C#, .NET.
  • Experience in user interface development using e.g. WPF, MVVM, etc.
  • Understanding SOLID and clean code principles
  • Knowledge and interest in modern software testing and integration methods, e.g. OOP, TDD, CI, etc.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Familiar with software development methodologies.
  • Fluency in English language, written and verbal.
  • Traveling expenditure: Up to 10%.
