A Brief Overview
The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer is a senior individual contributor and hands-on technical leader responsible for building and optimizing Caremark’s next-generation digital experiences across web, mobile, and API layers.
The Sr. Software Engineer designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
What you will do
Leverages expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
Contributes to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers.
Provides input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives.
Participates in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
Communicates and coordinates with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes.
Contributes to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality.
Participates in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
Works with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
Provides guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Node.js, Python, Go).
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, JavaScript).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and containerization.
Experience with REST and/or GraphQL API development.
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals—data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,310.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
