Job Description

The pace is fast, collaboration occurs on a regular basis, and innovation is encouraged. You will be responsible for OPEX/cost strategy and non-revenue generating (NRG) wafer forecasting for all SSD Enterprise products. You will work closely with Micron’s Global Supply Chain, System PDTs, TD Finance and Product Engineering groups to support product lifecycles, data analysis inclusive of prequal optimization strategy and prequal summary plan over plan data changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage R&D NPI wafers and OpEx/cost strategy for all SSD products.
  • Collaborate with collaborators from System PDT, Finance and Cost Accounting, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Business Units to capture and model NVE product development requirements baselining from SBU/EBU Roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with the System PDT team to craft and/or improve models as necessary, ensuring accurate and effective representation of data for SSD product development requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to strategize prequal optimization through scenarios planning. Scenarios planning are key to provide strategic decision through what-if scenarios for volume forecast planning and cost optimization.
  • Communicate SSD OpEx strategy forecast to cross functional product teams. Provide mentorship through debug and resolution of NRG wafer forecasting issues.
  • Responsible for in-depth data analysis SSD Prequal volume and expenses plan over plan delta.
  • Be vigilant with roadmap changes and the impact to prequal volume and cost quarter over quarter delta.
  • Collaborate with GSC teams to represent NVE product development demand signals through the appropriate systems (NPP) and communications on quarterly basis.
  • Submit SSD off-cycle requirements using Prequal Jira to get approval for changes and record expenses in the budget cycle.
  • Responsible for quarterly System QS and NAND achievement data changes and close communication with TD Finance to ensure alignment on achievement dates.
  • Improve data analysis by exploring options for data automation, including RPA, excel VBA, python, and other tools to speed up data aggregation and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or any field.
  • Strong drive and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate OpEx strategy to collaborators.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to intricate problems.
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
