Scope of Role:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has experience designing and documenting water treatment processes. An understanding of project management, business principles, and risk mitigation is also desirable.

This position will develop and lead programs for technology evaluations via a structured stage gate process. Candidates will interface with other areas within the organization, including business development, vertical management, sales, and intellectual property. Occasional travel for system start-up, optimization, and field trials may be required, as well as to interface with internal business stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand emerging water treatment technologies and assess their capabilities
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for novel water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Generate project proposals and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to execute project scope
  • Develop pilot systems to validate their performance, alone or in conjunction with other processes
  • Define the sizing and materials for equipment including pumps, piping, valves, and instrumentation
  • Develop general arrangement, process flow, and process and instrumentation diagrams
  • Develop handover packages and project documentation for execution teams

Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of job experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is expected
  • Experience using CAD systems preferred
  • Professional registration not required but considered a plus

Desired experience may include an understanding of water treatment processes such as membrane filtration, media filtration, carbon absorption, ion exchange, disinfection, advanced oxidation, and biological wastewater treatment.

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
