Job Description:

This position supports the evaluation of damaged or worn equipment by reviewing breakdown history and collaborating with the operations team to determine the most cost effective corrective actions. The role assists with dispatching BaSE Mechanics to complete required conveyor system repairs and Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), and it monitors the status of repairs and PMI progress daily to ensure timely completion.
Additionally, this position helps conduct facility inspections and identify operational improvements that enhance package flow efficiency and safety. The role also supports the management of projects related to buildings, facility systems, and customer initiatives by contributing to project planning, coordination, and execution. This position further assists in identifying financial impacts and opportunities for cost saving measures to support continuous improvement and budget alignment.
 

Additional Information:

•    Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required (not remote)

•    Location: AZ305, 305 South Bullard Ave Goodyear, AZ 85338

•    Work Schedule: M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., some on-call or weekends based on business needs

Responsibilities:
•    Assists with overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping.
•    Assists with identifying and scheduling necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors to maintain the condition of the facility.
•    Communicates assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
•    Assists with maintaining environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs (e.g., Storm Water, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials, etc.) to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community.
•    Delivers required regulatory training (e.g., Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as directed to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.
•    Manages projects related to buildings, facility systems, and customer initiatives.
•    Assists with identifying financial impacts and opportunities for cost saving measures to benefit the business unit.
•   May require limited travel to nearby states.

•   May require limited travel to states in the Northwest Region.
•    Interstate travel is required for sites located within an hour of domiciled site.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred
•    Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
•    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
•    Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
