Vanguard is hiring for an Equity investment Operations Analyst to support Vanguard’s Equity Index trading desks. This team partners directly with portfolio managers and traders to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of global equity trades.

In this role, you will:

• Enable daily equity index trading by ensuring liquidity readiness, cash flow accuracy, and smooth settlement of trades.
• Work in real‑time with traders and portfolio managers to resolve issues and steward high‑quality investment & trading data.
• Build market, product, and operational expertise across global equities.
• Contribute to a fast‑paced team that supports critical investment workflows.

  Responsibilities:

• Supports the portfolio managers for assigned products to ensure operational objectives are met. Analyzes and delivers insights to inform and enhance investment management decisions.
• Consults and advises key stakeholders, acts as subject matter and technical expert, identifies and resolves complex operational issues. Leads internal control framework improvements and formulates strategic recommendations.
• Serves as an escalation contact for the investment operations teams. Creates, builds, and maintains relationships with portfolio traders and managers.
• Proactively anticipates portfolio events and leads process enhancement initiatives.
• Engages and collaborates with internal partners to provide holistic support. Continually develops product support skills and strengthens insight through increased service experience.
• Oversees internal event tracking, performs incident analysis, and incorporates finding into process improvements. Evaluates and enhances workflows.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• Experience with middle office and trade support preferred.
