Job Summary

The successful candidate will promote the development of the Strategic Operations Managers using agile and product management methodologies. They will focus on guiding and influencing the team to achieve long term goals and objectives for their respective portfolios, ensuring the efficiency, quality, and delivery of products/services.

This leader will help actualize the function’s vision and adoption by leading the team through building capabilities for best practices of delivering value-based strategic solutions via improved communication, stakeholder management, collaboration and integrating disciplined agile and product management methodologies.

This leader will collaborate with BSPE team and Technology partners to ensure high-quality, efficient execution of key initiatives in a scaled agile delivery framework and established Community of Practice. They will oversee, lead, and drive effective measurement of Delivery Excellence framework and identify areas of opportunity across the domains.

They will serve as an evangelist of digital capabilities and value-based outcomes with internal stakeholders, business units, and executive stakeholders as well as establishing a communication standards and reporting mechanisms across business domains.

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Experience documenting value-based strategic outcomes and roadmaps while incorporating the relevant opportunities to improve customer and employee journeys to meet business objectives
• Industry business product management and product operating model experience on leading practices to enable effective execution across the organization
• Deep knowledge and ability to discern operational and tech implications of strategic business plans
• Effective communication of enterprise strategy and operational plan to stakeholders and operational enablers across the organization
• Ability to engage IT and Business partners to deliver solutions that meet customer & business needs by establishing value-oriented outcomes, benefit realization and milestones
• Capacity to lead large-scale transformation efforts and navigate organizational change management

SKILLS
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to exert significant influence and present complex information to varying stakeholder groups
• Must demonstrate proficiency in teamwork and interpersonal skills, communication, technical and organization, complex problem-solving and service skills as well as stakeholder management
• Must be a self-starter, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as well as experience in change management
• Ability to develop and present complex communications and strategic presentations to various levels of leadership
• Proficiency with Digital transformations and execution, End-to-End Insurance lifecycle and value streams
 

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Minimum 5 years prior experience managing/leading Product Owners
• Minimum 5 years prior experience in Business or IT Product Management, Product Ownership and Strategic Business Planning
• Minimum 10 years prior experience in Insurance Operations, Underwriting, Business Planning, IT, or other relevant role(s)
