The Agency Originations team manages all types of syndicated facilities, across major industry sectors and major currencies. The team currently administers a portfolio of ~A$160 billion consisting of institutional, corporate and leveraged finance relationships. The team also act as security trustee and hold security on trust for the secured creditors and enforces security upon default.
Do work that matters
Reporting to a Director Agency Origination, you will act as the primary point of contact between the parties to a syndicated loan, be key in establishing and maintaining key relationships with clients and other market participant whilst delivering successful business outcomes.
Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Act as the central point of contact between the borrower and lenders for matters related to the syndicated facility agreement.
Pitch to potential clients and prepare the relevant fee proposal
Review and negotiate documents. In undertaking this, the Facility Agent acts in conjunction with the lawyers and the lenders.
Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to cover all aspects of the loan closing process.
Distribute compliance reporting requirements, including the provision of financial statements, certificates of compliance, reports and any other documents required to be provided to each lender.
Management of waivers, consents or amendments under the transaction documents as required. Instruct external legal counsel (where appropriate) if required by the lenders.
Facilitate the entry and exit of lenders by receiving and dealing with lender substitution certificates.
If required, the Facility Agent will co-ordinate and host financial results or project update briefings given by the borrower to the syndicate lenders.
Support the team in developing process and procedures.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Solid knowledge and experience as facility and security agent
Loan documentation review experience
Good understanding of syndicated transaction and funding mechanics
Strong relationship management, organisational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure
Teamwork - willingness to support the team as required
Business/Commerce or related degree is highly advantageous
