Job Summary
For 40 years, our market leading LaserJet brand and portfolio has been a cornerstone of HP’s Print business. HP’s Alliance team is responsible for leading our strategic partnership including business strategy and business model, price negotiations, and seamless business operations. Our team is seeking a leader with high business acumen, strong process skills and curiosity to make things better in approaching our joint business.
This role is responsible for managing a small team of professionals for the business operations aspect of the alliance. Working internally and across with our alliance partner on forecasting and planning, business results and reporting, and joint programs that drive success. Success will require strong analytics and ability to provide executive insights, process design and discipline, team leadership, and ultimately the forward thinking of how to do things faster and better at the same time.
Responsibilities
· Leads critically important, time-sensitive efforts to identify new business strategies and opportunities (e.g., new business models, growth initiatives, cost reduction strategies).
· Partners with executives in creating strategic initiatives and securing budgets for plans and projects on a wide range of strategic issues, including risk management and implementation tactics.
· Influences and coaches executives by presenting compelling analysis and recommendations that build the business case for new strategic initiatives.
· Provides innovative thought leadership and makes significant contributions to organizational strategic planning knowledge base.
· Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader; ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.
· Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Education & Experience Recommended
· Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. MBA preferred.
· Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in operations, strategic finance, or a related field.
