Job Description:

To support Astera Labs rapid growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Global Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist to support our operations. This role involves managing the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate handling of goods, and providing excellent customer service at the reception area, temporarily. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping:
    • Process outgoing shipments, both domestically and internationally, ensuring our products are packaged correctly and securely for transportation.
    • Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of orders.
    • Collaborate closely with operations, legal, engineering and facilities teams
    • Prepare shipping labels, invoices, and necessary documentation, including HTS details, to accompany all shipments.
    • Track and trace shipments, resolving any delivery issues as needed.
    • Identify potential delays and proactively address any transit issues
    • Establish and maintain robust shipping and compliance documentation process
    • Manage International and domestic shipments and related documentation for export/import
    • Manage 3rd party agencies for international shipping compliance and regulations
    • Manage the process of reviewing, reconciling, and ensuring timely payment of invoices for freight carriers
  • Receiving:
    • Receive incoming shipments, checking for correct items, quantities, and any visible damage.
    • Update inventory records upon receipt and ensure proper storage of items.
    • Tagging of devices and logging asset into internal tracking system
    • Work with suppliers and vendors to address discrepancies or returns.
    • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Interim Reception:
    • Greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate department, manage badges and ensure a professional, welcoming environment.
    • Maintain reception area cleanliness, manage visitor logs, and handle mail distribution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient in basic office technology and software applications
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  • Prior experience with international shipping and compliance regulations
  • Understanding of customs documentation required
  • Experience with regional couriers with expedited delivery services
  • Prior experience with shipping and receiving of pallets
  • Experience with asset management software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service or customer facing role
  • Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or industrial engineering
  • Previously worked at a semiconductor company

The base salary range is $105,000.00 USD – $140,000.00 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
