Personal Systems Stewardship program manager

Job description and responsibilities:

  • Our team needs an organized and creative program manager who inspires their colleagues to perform better and to ensure that customers can and want to buy HP Personal Systems because they meet environmental regulations and enable HP’s Sustainable Impact Strategy.

  • Support an effective environmental stewardship platform team that supports the HP Personal Systems business units.

  • Project manage changes and improvements to the Personal Systems environmental management system.

  • Project manage implementation requirements with Personal Systems teams to ensure regulatory and market access requirements are met on time.

  • Project manage corporate level requirements for computer and display ecolabels.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business Management, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent.

  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.

  • Typically 4-6 years of experience in project management for electronics product development- preferably involving environmental compliance, ecolabel, and sustainability programs.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Personal Systems or Peripherals business units

  • Basic understanding of sustainability, materials, computer hardware, and electrical components.

  • Self-motivated to make progress towards goals autonomously as needed.

  • Willingness to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to work on a global team supporting multiple time zones.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.

  • Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
