About Us:

We're on a mission to make it possible for every person, team, and company to be able to tailor their software to solve any problem and take on any challenge. Computers may be our most powerful tools, but most of us can't build or modify the software we use on them every day. At Notion, we want to change this with focus, design, and craft.

We've been working on this together since 2016, and have customers like Pixar, Mitsubishi, Figma, Plaid, Match Group, and thousands more on this journey with us. Today, we're growing fast and excited for new teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We're passionate about building a company as diverse and creative as the millions of people Notion reaches worldwide.

Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

The Renewal Manager is part of the Notion Sales organization who works closely with cross functional partners inside and outside of GTM. This individual owns the relationship with the accounts they cover - including a specific focus on retaining their existing paid footprint and ensuring their long term success. As part of this focus, Renewal Managers are measured on their book of business retention and ensuring we have predictable renewals that happen in a timely manner.

What You'll Achieve:

  1. Founding member of the Renewal Team: The Renewal Manager role is new at Notion. You will be a founding member of this team working with some of our most innovative customers! You'll join at the perfect time to shape how we grow from here.
  2. First Point of Contact: You will be the first line of contact for all our customer's needs and summarize key learnings back to our leadership teams. This includes forecasting a healthy and predictable revenue business for your territory.
  3. Meaningfully shape our future product: As you engage with customers, you'll gain insights to help us serve them better — and work with the product to inform what we do next.
  4. Elevate your skills as we tackle our most impactful challenges: We've achieved more than teams 10x our size in less time — and there's so much more to do and learn.
  5. Cross-functional partnership: Work with CSM team to identify at-risk accounts and put together a strategy to mitigate identified risk, ensure customer satisfaction, and secure the renewal.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in account management/renewal management, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to think systematically and operationally, with a focus on identifying and analyzing processes and workflows, to service a large set of customers
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal targets and revenue objectives
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Haves:

  • This role requires the ability to communicate trends, risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams to adjust operational strategies and lead the direction of the development of new retention initiatives.

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers.
