What you’ll do 

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer you will primarily be working on service requests and incidents related to the platform. Your role will include performing product and platform upgrade and fixes and general support to the team.

This role requires candidates to have Australian citizenship.

Key responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, RDS, Elasticache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3.
  • DevOps Practices: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.
  • System Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement and manage monitoring solutions using stacks such as Elastic Stack (ELK), ensuring system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
  • Automation & Scripting: Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or other languages.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with scalability, security, and performance in mind.
  • Security: Implement security best practices across cloud environments, including IAM, network security, data protection, and compliance.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting support for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Here’s what you need

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Cloud and DevOps roles, with strong hands-on experience in AWS
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Packer)
  • Has earned a credential to be an AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3)
  • Experience with monitoring stacks such as Elastic Stack (ELK) is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) will be highly regarded
