Seattle, WA - Retail shopAs an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, fostering strong relationships with key accounts, and managing a designated territory. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires a results-driven individual with a deep understanding of customer engagement, pipeline management, and the ability to develop value-based selling strategies.
You’ll call on prospective and existing customers to build relationships and increase sales, and work with Airgas product specialists and branches to bring value and added resources to improve customer’s profitability.
Build strong relationships with all branch personnel and create open communication with branch managers to grow and support business.
Actively pursue and acquire, on an on-going basis, new and competitive accounts with emphasis on gases, business, and product supply agreements.
Ensure customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.
Complete and turn in sales related paperwork and annual sales analysis and forecasts to management.
Schedule joint sales calls with vendors and Airgas Product Specialists.
Key Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong relationship-building skills and customer focus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams and manage customer expectations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the gases, welding or industrial supply industry.
3+ years sales experience, preferably in a B2B or industrial setting.
5+ years outside sales experience
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce.
Experience in value-based selling and the ability to tailor messages to customer needs.
Familiarity with consignment and PSA contracts.
Knowledge of the North Washington territory or similar regions.
