The Opportunity
Our location in Princeton, NJ currently has an opportunity for a Global Product Manager, Cardiac/Coagulation Assays Portfolio. This role will have global responsibilities to lead and direct the upstream marketing activities for the portfolio of cardiac/coagulation assays on the i-STAT systems; i-STAT 1 and i-STAT Alinity systems. They will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of strategies and tactical programs to effectively achieve commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives. This role will work onsite in Princeton, NJ and is not available for hybrid or remote work.
What you'll work on
Responsible for directing global marketing activities associated with Assays.
Establish marketing strategies for the portfolio of Cardiac/Coagulation Assays including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, product development, tactical plan development and execution.
Drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies as well as provide leadership in managing the logistics, market share and revenue of the product.
Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of new product or line extension product.
Oversee the identification of key segment business drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities.
Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern, and modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.
Develop and execute product education, publication, and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.
Determine and manage the allocation of product budget to maximize ROI.
Develop and execute launch plans, financial models, market sizing, pricing/reimbursement strategy, distribution/service strategy, situation analysis and assessment of opportunities
Manage ongoing surveillance of emerging technologies and competitive activities
Arrange advisory boards and focus groups and summarize feedback from KOLs and customers.
Plan, manage and execute product discontinuation including development of messaging and communications strategy
Build strong working relationship with regions and cross functional teams including Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Demand & Supply Planning, Finance and Operations.
Work with Market Research to conduct primary and secondary market research to optimize product offering.
Provide guidance on the development and maintenance of packaging and labeling.
Possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives, priorities, develop project plan, and manage to deadlines.
Contribute to development of global market forecast.
Contribute to KOL development.
Collaborate with areas and affiliates on product launches.
Build market awareness and education strategies.
Interface with consultants, marketing research firms, ad agencies, vendors, and customers.
Requirements
B.A. or B.S. Degree
7+ years of experience in healthcare marketing
Understanding of hospital setting (especially ED, CVOR and CCU departments) and outside of hospital setting (such as urgent care, free standing ED, ambulatory center, and oncology).
Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills with senior level staff).
Demonstrated track record of success in portfolio management, product launches and commercialization.
Demonstrated ability to market highly technical science.
Demonstrated analytical skills related to market research, pricing, financial modeling, and identification of key business insights.
Initiative and self-motivation; strong work ethic; leadership and team orientation; strong proactive interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with others; ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional management by influence.
Preferred Qualifications
Area of study in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biomedical engineering or related sciences
Leading/managing marketing stage and gate process highly preferred
Global experience highly preferred
MBA
Experience with diagnostics, IVD or medical devices

The base pay for this position is
$109,300.00 – $218,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
