Position Purpose:

The ODM Product Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality management processes of Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) products. This role ensures that all ODM products meet the company's quality standards and customer requirements, from design to delivery. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy for ODM products, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure consistent quality standards across all ODM products.

2. Product Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the design and implementation of quality control processes, including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection criteria.
  • Ensure that all ODM products undergo rigorous testing and validation to meet specified quality requirements.
  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve product quality.

3. Quality Risk Management

  • Identify and assess potential quality risks associated with ODM products.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of quality issues.
  • Conduct regular quality risk reviews and updates to ensure ongoing risk management.

4. Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by consistently delivering products that meet or exceed quality expectations.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to address customer complaints and quality concerns.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancements.
  • Review and complete ODM supplier recurrence prevention measures for quality issues.
  • Manage 4M changes.
  • Conduct supplier audit conjunction with SQA as needed

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes.
  • Participate in new product development (NPD) projects to ensure quality considerations are integrated from the early stages of product design.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments to address quality-related issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Six Sigma Black Belt are a plus.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in an ODM or manufacturing environment.

  • Proven track record in managing supplier quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing quality projects.

Knowledge/Skill Level:

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, 8D, and Six Sigma.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and product development cycles.

Language Level:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills, such as Japanese, will be a plus.
