At NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients.  Our work continues to help patients reach their full potential. Join our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality rehabilitation for our patients throughout the continuum of care including acute care, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation.

In this position, you will work in the outpatient department treating adult clients of all genders with Pelvic Health issues including pre-natal/ post-partum, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain and incontinence as well as spinal and other orthopedic conditions as needed.  Experience in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is required.

This position also includes work treating adults with diagnoses of Lymphedema. Advanced training in lymphedema management is required.

This is a full-time position in the outpatient therapy rotation, with a weekend and holiday coverage commitment providing care on inpatient units.

Shift hours will be either:  7a-3p, 8:30a-4:30p, or 11a-7p. This position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Annual rotations include working on our many acute care units, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation. 

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy 
  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership
  • Experience with treating a variety of orthopedic and spine conditions.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy 
  • New York State Physical Therapist License within one year of hire
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • A minimum of one year working with pelvic health patients and Completion of post-graduate continuing education in abdominopelvic health assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Advanced training in Lymphedema Management, including certification from Norton School of Lymphedema  or  Academy of Lymphatic Studies (AOLS) Lymphedema

Salary Range:

$105,000-$126,000/Annual
