Applications are invited for the role of UK AOC Safety Systems Coordinator at our Aberdeen, Forties Road base.   

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE: (brief overview of key focus of position)

  • The provision of information and advice on safety reports to the Safety and compliance Managers
  • Monitoring the safety occurrence reporting database and assist with investigating summarising and processing Air Safety Reports, making, where appropriate, recommendations to operations engineering and airworthiness department.
  • Submitting reports under the UKCAA Mandatory Occurrence Reporting scheme and maintaining a good working relationship with the CAA Safety Data Unit.
  • Maintaining an effective liaison with manufacturers’ customer flight safety departments.
  • Accident and incident trends.
  • Liaising with heads of departments, Business unit-wide, on flight safety matters.
  • Monitoring the minutes of unit flight safety meetings, highlighting areas of concern to the flight safety officer and S+C managers.
  • Disseminating flight safety-related information Business-unit wide.
  • The promotion of proactive safety culture through research, safety projects and initiatives.
  • Publishing a monthly report to the business unit
  • Carry out data analysis and trending to support decision making using safety data
  • Compile both internal and external (client) reports with safety related data
  • Support the wider safety team and postholders with data from within the safety information system
  • Assist in developing new safety information system functionality and reports
  • Data and administrative support for safety and compliance projects
  • Prepare minutes and tracking of actions for safety related meetings (safety action groups and safety review boards)
  • Producing the daily safety report for the daily ops call
  • Updating and maintaining ERE Tracker.
  • Assisting UFSOs in their duties and the provision of training through the UKFSC and other agencies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: (minimum education requirements, key skills and experience)

Qualifications:

  • Aviation experience, flight safety or aviation related qualifications or training

Experience:

  • Aviation operations experience
  • Previous experience in managing helicopter flight data

Skills:

  • Computer literate (especially Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Data analysis skills
