What would you do? The Material Master Data Lead is responsible for managing a team, for master data creation, maintenance, and governance of material master data across ERP systems. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product and pricing data to support product changes, configuration management, and commercial setup. The Lead serves as the key liaison between business functions, ensuring that all master data supports efficient operations, accurate pricing, and successful product lifecycle transitions. Material Master Data Management • Create and maintain material master records in the ERP system (e.g., SAP MM, SD modules) for new and existing products. • Validate data accuracy and completeness before release to production or sales systems. • Manage lifecycle status changes (e.g., new, active, obsolete, discontinued). Product Change & Configuration • Support Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Product Change Requests (PCR) by updating relevant master data. • Coordinate with R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement product updates and configuration changes. • Ensure correct assignment of materials to Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings, and Product Hierarchies. Pricing & Commercial Data Setup • Set up and maintain product pricing data within ERP/CRM systems (base price, discount structures, pricing conditions, etc.). • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and • Follow data governance standards, naming conventions, and approval workflows. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data quality and process efficiency. • Maintain documentation for material creation/change processes. • Act as the point of contact for internal audits, external audits, and data quality reviews. • Build strong relationships with global business units to align vendor master processes with business requirements • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as data accuracy, turnaround time, duplicate rate, and compliance adherence. • Prepare and present periodic performance reports to management. • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring data issues. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Product Management, Procurement, Planning, Quality, and IT teams to ensure data alignment.
What are we looking for? •6- 8 years of experience in Master data process •• Flexible to work in shifts • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle and High radius is an added advantage • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. • Customer-oriented mindset with empathy and patience. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CRM platforms. • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently Archiving, Records Retention and Audit Support • Manage records retention in accordance with policies and practices • Provides internal and external audit support as requested
