Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

This role is contributing to the { EL-ELSE-SERASIA: ASIA Region} in {Xiamen China}. Main stakeholders are {ELSE}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Technical contribution

• Performs basic survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
•  Collects data and supports production of the engineering design.
•  Exercises judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and prepares project documentation within their scope of deliverables.

 Customer and Sales

• Assists customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.
•  Assists communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.

Technical leadership and knowledge sharing

•  Participates in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes.
•  Learns from best practices / Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines.

Processes and tools

• Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility.
• Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.

Risk and opportunity management

• Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects.
• Clarify the project open issues, evaluate the project risks and manage the project risks.

Contract management

• Ensures Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations.
• Continuously monitor and conduct in - depth analysis of project progress to guarantee the efficient execution of projects and their timely delivery.
• Systematically capture and comprehensively analyze the lessons learned throughout the project execution process, with the aim of applying them to achieve continuous improvement.

Planning and control

 • Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the project manager

• Ensures quality and timely implementation of projects within the targeted cost.

Supply Chain management

• Collaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations.

Manufacturing and Testing

• Coordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested.

• Updates the engineering deliverables as-built.

License to operate / Core Values

• Reports any integrity, compliance, safety, cybersecurity, quality, contract, program, and cost issues to the management and/or project manager(s) for resolution.

• Ensures that Bill of Materials (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations.

Collaboration / Leadership

• Works closely with project manager from contract / order receipt to closure to meet the technical requirements of the contract.

• Collaborates with the supply chain function, manufacturing, and testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged and tested.

• Coordinates with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract).

• Assists customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree or above, Electrical Engineering background preferred.
• Preferably, candidates hold at least one year of project design and execution experience, with a focus on the electrical product industry. Experience in medium voltage switchgear project execution is a priority, while overseas export project execution experience is highly preferred.     
• Proficient in project management tools such as the SAP system, Business On Line, CAD, MS Office, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrate fundamental English listening and speaking capabilities, and excel in English reading and writing proficiencies
• Demonstrate strong communication, coordination and teamwork skills, paired with a high sense of responsibility, effective management capabilities and sound problem-solving competence

• 确保项目的物料清单（BOM）符合合同义务。

• 从合同 / 订单接收至结束，与项目经理密切合作，以满足合同的技术要求。
• 与供应链部门、制造和测试部门协作，确保设计得到恰当制造 / 筹备和测试。
• 与调试 / 服务部门协调，确保设计得到恰当安装和调试（若合同有相关要求）。
• 在其可交付成果范围内，就技术问题为客户提供协助，与官方联系人、承包商及其他人员进行沟通。

Requirements

• 本科及以上学历，电气工程专业背景优先    
• 至少1年以上电气产品项目设计和执行经验，有中压项目执行工作经验者优先, 海外出口项目执行经验者优先
• 熟练掌握如 SAP 系统、Business On Line、CAD、MS Office 等项目管理工具，或具备同等知识与技能
• 具备基本的英语听说能力，且在英语读写方面表现出色  
• 具备较强的沟通、协调和团队合作能力。
• 有强烈的责任感，具备管理技能和解决问题的能力。
