Responsibilities:

• Release of Purchase Order and material arrangement as per production schedules
• Cost take out against given annual target by management and reporting of the same. Reporting of KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and MIS (Management Information System) on monthly basis to purchase head
• Vendor and part development considering purchase strategies, Import customs clearance, freight forwarding contract preparation
• Smooth coordination with Imports supplier and maintain P2P cycle (procure to pay)
• Coordination with CHA (Custom House Agent) to ensure customs clearance on time without any custom penalties. Ensure ethical practices are being followed by CHA in customs clearance
• System improvements, customized report preparation to facilitate the work
• Solve quality and delivery disputes with import and domestic vendors in most harmonious way

Qualifications:

• Must be B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical or Production or Instrumentation Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in Purchase and Sourcing function with minimum 5 years of proven track records of handling Imports and customs clearance
• Should have handled ISO and IATF audit documentation
• Knowledge on sheet metal fabrication in specific
• Knowledge on other manufacturing process like Injection moulding, surface coating processes, welding
• Understanding of taxation and legal implications
• Good at interpersonal relation building, Ability to communicate on many levels, ability to handle conflicts
