Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the global shared services responsible for processing high-volume, standardized finance transactions, including order entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and master data creation
  • Oversee accounting activities operations within India, including monthly closing process and statutory compliance
  • Engage with the RTR, OTC, and PTP finance leaders to ensure alignment of shared services with business strategies and needs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work with the RTR, OTC, and PTP Global Process Owners (GPOs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure standardization, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Collaborate with IT and other functions to design and implement automation to streamline GSSC activities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for leadership regarding India GSSC operations, providing regular updates and insights
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in shared services to ensure the GSSC remains competitive and forward-thinking
  • Develop cost-effective service level agreements (SLAs) for GSSC activities
  • Establish, measure, root cause, and action targeted KPIs to measure GSSC activities
  • Mentor and develop a global shared services team, fostering a high-performance culture

  • Excellent global leadership abilities with success building a positive team culture and developing talent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial reporting standards
  • Strong attention to detail to produce consistent, high-quality results and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards and commitment to compliance and transparency
  • Demonstrated initiative to drive continuous process improvement
  • Ability to work productively in a cross-functional team environment with the ability to influence and collaborate with all stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Professional accounting qualification required (e.g., CPA, ACA)
  • 15+ years' progressive experience working within a multinational, fast-paced environment with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position
  • experience at senior manager level
  • Proficiency in ERP systems
