Summary: We are seeking a skilled Firewall Rule Consultant with expertise in Checkpoint Firewall to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and auditing firewall rules to ensure secure and efficient network operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Checkpoint Firewall technologies, network security protocols, and best practices for firewall rule management Roles & Responsibilities: -Design, implement, and manage firewall rules and policies on Checkpoint Firewall to ensure secure and efficient network traffic flow. -Conduct regular audits of firewall rules to identify and remove redundant, outdated, or conflicting rules. -Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement firewall rules that align with business and security needs. -Monitor and analyze firewall logs to identify potential security threats and optimize rule performance. -Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewall rules and configurations. -Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. -Provide recommendations for improving firewall rule management processes and security posture. -Document firewall rule changes, configurations, and processes for future reference and audits. -Stay updated on the latest Checkpoint Firewall features, security threats, and industry best practices. -Train and mentor team members on firewall rule management and Checkpoint Firewall technologies. Professional & Technical Skills: -Experience in firewall rule management and network security. -Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewall, including rule creation, optimization, and troubleshooting. -Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and security principles. -Familiarity with firewall log analysis tools and techniques. -Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and implementation. -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. -Relevant certifications such as Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) are highly desirable -Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator/Expert (CCSA/CCSE) or equivalent Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
