Technical Architect – AI & Data Solutions (Azure + LLM Integration)

Role Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to design and implement cutting-edge AI-driven solutions leveraging Azure Cloud and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role involves defining technical patterns, ensuring security and scalability, and enabling seamless integration of AI capabilities into enterprise data platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
Technology Assessment: Evaluate the current technology landscape (Cloud, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, integration, security) for LLM readiness and alignment with business objectives.
Solution Design: Define target technical patterns for chat engines and conversational AI platforms.
Requirements Analysis: Identify non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, resilience, security, and data residency, along with key architectural constraints.
Feasibility & Recommendations: Provide technical feasibility and effort estimates recommend build vs. reuse strategies for components and services.

Core Skills & Expertise:

Azure Cloud Services:
o App Services – Hosting chat engines and APIs
o Key Vault – Secure secrets and credentials management
o Networking – VNET integration, private endpoints, firewall rules
o PostgreSQL on Azure – Structured data persistence

AI-over-BI Architecture:
o Designing AI-over-BI patterns using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
o Semantic layer governance and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) integration

Security & Identity:
o Entra ID (Azure AD) – Identity and access management
o Managed Identities – Secure service-to-service authentication
o Service Principals – App-level authentication for automation

LLM Integration:
o Azure OpenAI Service – API integration for GPT models
o Prompt engineering and grounding strategies (RAG)

Data Strategy & Engineering:
o SQL – Query optimization and schema design
o ETL Basics – Data ingestion and transformation patterns
o Familiarity with Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade AI and data solutions on Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with Azure Open AI and modern data architectures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
