Summary:

In this role, you will oversee the Data Collection Module (DCM) processes within Vizient's Operational Database (ODB) tool, previously known as Action OI. You will lead, guide, and provide support for concurrent efforts involving multiple providers to ensure the seamless implementation of hospital data into the ODB tool. You will communicate recommended ODB tool requirements and solutions to stakeholders and hospital providers, fostering clear and productive collaboration. You will handle a diverse portfolio of assignments and contribute to the ongoing support and enhancement of the ODB.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data collection, interpretation, and analysis for productivity benchmarking initiatives.
  • Manage provider-specific DCM project tasks across a variety of standard and add-on tool offerings, including multi-facility large scale implementations.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of work assignments, including input on product support questions, content enhancement planning and feedback, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide guidance to providers on submitting data in accordance with the definitions outlined in the Department Reference Manual (DRM), ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ensure data quality by driving accountability around data submitted to the ODB and communicating expectations to provider participants.
  • Drive data quality initiatives by accurately and appropriately following and interpreting DRM guidelines.
  • Facilitate provider calls, track project timelines, communicate effectively to avoid project delays, and facilitate tool requirements for success.
  • Serve as primary provider point of contact for DCM, create a conducive environment promoting education and trust, and meet providers at their unique needs.
  • Train provider ODB Coordinators on requirements for success with DCM tasks while successfully delivering against hard deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in finance, healthcare or analytics preferred. Master’s degree desired.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in data analytics, finance, decision support analysis, or consulting within a hospital or healthcare setting required.
  • Solid working knowledge of healthcare terminology, charge master/billing practices, and hospital operations required.
  • Analytical ability to gather, organize and interpret data, identify discrepancies, problems, and issues required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, advanced logic such as nested “if” statements), MS Access, and Power Point required.
  • Experience with ODB Data Collection Module or Action OI is highly preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare labor productivity measuring and reporting preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare management system processes and operations principles desired. (i.e., Workflow analysis, statistical analysis, work simplification, time standard and staffing analysis, process improvement techniques, etc.).

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $146,700.00.
