We are seeking a talented individual for HR Consulting Project Manager (Cross-border M&A | Talent) position at Mercer. This role will be based in Korea.
This role will also have opportunities to contribute to cross-border M&A agenda (HR due diligence and post-merger integration), helping clients manage complex, multi-country people risks and integration priorities.
We help clients transform business performance through people, organization, and culture. We are looking for a Project Manager who can lead end-to-end HR consulting delivery across the Talent spectrum, supported by strong analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and stakeholder leadership.
We will count on you to:
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead end-to-end HR consulting projects: diagnosis → solution design → implementation roadmap → change enablement
Own project workplan, risks/issues, and delivery quality; ensure outcomes are on time, on budget, and high quality
Lead and coach consultants/analysts; review deliverables for analytical rigor, consistency, and story-lining
Client & Stakeholder Management
Partner with senior stakeholders across HR/Business/Finance/Legal to drive alignment and decisions
Produce executive-ready deliverables with clear logic, quantified insights, and actionable recommendations
Cross-border M&A People Agenda
Support cross-border HR due diligence and post-merger integration/stand-up projects
Deliver multi-country people workstream outputs, such as:
People risk assessment and mitigation planning
Retention strategy and critical talent mapping
Compensation and equity (incl. RSU/LTI) harmonization hypotheses/roadmaps where relevant
Organization and workforce integration approach (Day 1 readiness, Day 100 roadmap)
Employee communications and change enablement across geographies
Talent
Support clients on HR transformation topics including:
Leadership assessment (frameworks, tools, and executive reporting; linkage to succession and development)
Workforce Planning (baseline, demand/supply modeling, scenario analysis)
Recruiting process and policy design (TA operating model, selection process, governance, candidate experience)
HR operating model & service delivery (process, governance, service catalog, HR roles/RACI)
Organization design & operating model (structures, roles, accountability, decision rights)
Culture & change management (diagnostics, culture activation, communications, adoption)
Business Development (Nice-to-have)
Contribute to proposals, client pursuit activities (not required, but valued)
What you need to have:
8–15 years of relevant experience in HR consulting and/or in-house HR in a project-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality client outputs
Strong structured problem solving, synthesis, and analytical skills (quantitative orientation preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English (English strongly preferred for client-facing work)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in large enterprises and/or technology companies (in-house HR or consulting for such clients)
STEM background preferred (Engineering / Mathematics / Statistics) with strong analytical orientation
Licensed labor attorney (노무사) preferred
