Role Summary:

The Team Lead ensures smooth and efficient operations during assigned shifts while delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role provides leadership and guidance to team members, oversees food and beverage operations, and maintains a clean, safe, and customer-ready environment. Team Leads act as a key link between management and staff, supporting training, enforcing standards, and promoting a positive team culture aligned with Cinemark’s brand principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and set the tone for team members during assigned shifts (e.g., Concession, Floor/Usher, Attractions).
  • Ensure food & beverage operations run smoothly; assist with receiving vendor orders, rotating and stocking products, and maintaining hot hold and merchandise displays.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and customer-ready environment throughout the shift.
  • Report maintenance needs and safety/security issues promptly.
  • Guarantee guests have the best experience; address minor guest concerns and escalate to management if required.
  • Act as a Cinemark Brand Ambassador and reinforce the principles of SMILE.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members during shifts, including directing break schedules.
  • Participate in management-led shift huddles and communicate updates to team members.
  • Assist in training new and existing employees, including cross-training when needed.
  • Alert management to attendance, tardiness, and uniform compliance.
  • Handle minor team concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Coach and correct minor “in the moment” performance issues as needed.
  • Ensure department checklists are completed and delivered to management.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Friendly, energetic attitude with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to follow and give clear directions.
  • Must be able to converse and comprehend English effectively.
  • Completion of food handling training and any required certifications.
  • If eligible to serve alcohol, completion of Safe Alcohol Service training.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
