What we need
We are seeking a Manager, Operations Leadership Trainer, responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs tailored for site operations leaders. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the proficiency and readiness of field operations teams. By developing and executing training and onboarding initiatives, you enhance the capabilities and performance of both internal leaders and external customers. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you identify training needs, design curriculum, deliver engaging sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness. Your commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning contributes significantly to organizational success.
What we do
The Manager, Operations Leadership Trainer, is part of the Customer Operations organization which is responsible for leading and training and the day-to-day operations of Symbotic’s robotic material handling system. The Customer Operations organization drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality, safety and system performance.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to assess and understand training needs for field operations leaders.
Design comprehensive training and onboarding programs, including curriculum development, learning materials, and scheduling.
Ensure training programs align with organizational goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for field operations leaders, utilizing various methodologies.
Partner with the existing field operations training team to understand current practices and identify collaboration opportunities.
Develop methodologies to monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, driving process improvement and innovation.
Provide coaching and support to trainees to reinforce learning and skill development.
Coordinate logistics for training events, maintain records, and ensure compliance with certifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts and HR professionals to align training with organizational objectives.
Foster a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and skills development.

What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in program management, instructional design, or training facilitation, preferably in field operations.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), multimedia tools, and training technologies.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Our Environment
Remote, field-based position; with travel is required up to 50% of the time.
Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible to own a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
This role may spend on a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
