As a Dietary Aide I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. In this position, you can leave our patients and caregivers highly satisfied by providing high-quality food and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately sets up and delivers patient trays and nourishments.
  • Distributes correct portions of food and beverage items.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follows department standards and procedures.
  • Utilizes and rotates food products, appropriately stores leftovers, labels and dates food items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Six months experience in food service preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
