Summary

Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited is seeking a Human Resources intern to support our HR department for a 4-month term (May through August). Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position supports the department on all matters pertaining to human resources service.

This position is located onsite at our Edmonton Cement Plant office.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide service and assistance in all areas pertaining to human resources services
• Assist with recruitment, selection and onboarding processes to meet staffing requirements at all levels
• Perform various clerical and administrative tasks
• Assist with current year HR strategies  
• Contribute to project work aligned to the field of Human Resources

What Are We Looking For

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong computer proficiency with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive situations or information.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong observation, critical‑thinking, and analytical abilities.

Work Environment:

• This role is based in a professional office setting with regular interaction. It requires consistent on-site presence and collaboration.
