We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Perioperative Setup Nurse to join our warm and dynamic Perioperative team.
In this role, you’ll:
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients before and after surgery
Work closely with a supportive, multidisciplinary team
Apply your knowledge of day surgery processes and procedures
Communicate confidently and clearly with patients, families, and colleagues

ABOUT YOU:
As an experienced and detail-oriented Nurse in a perioperative setting, you will bring the following strengths:
Demonstrate efficiency and accuracy in setting up theatres for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and consumables are prepared and available in line with surgical requirements and aseptic principles.
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, maintaining focus and adaptability amidst changing surgical schedules and clinical needs.
Possess a sound understanding of surgical instrumentation, infection prevention, and safe handling practices to support optimal patient outcomes.
Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff, contributing to a well-coordinated and seamless perioperative experience.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate equipment logs, stock rotation, and instrument tracking – experience with Meditech or similar clinical systems is highly regarded.
Champion patient safety and uphold high standards of care through adherence to hospital policies, WHS protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
