HP 3D EMEA Category Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join the HP Personalization and 3D Printing business and have full exposure to one of the most exciting technologies and innovative businesses at HP Inc.

This role is responsible for actively contributing to defining the 3D category business plan and collaborating with internal teams to ensure its seamless execution. The role gathers insights into product categories, business challenges, and customer needs, and translates them into actionable improvements. The role handles low-complexity and low-impact tasks under the general supervision of managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align strategies, drive successful product launches, and ensure seamless execution of category plans.
  • Utilize advanced sales analytics tools to derive actionable insights from sales data, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategy refinement.
  • Participates in defining the category business plan and strategies with the manager to drive growth and profitability.
  • Holds responsibility for product line and quota management limited to low complexity and low impact product range or customer segment.
  • Conduct in-depth external market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences within the category, using insights to inform sales approaches.
  • Gathers understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges/strategies.
  • Collects and analyzes customer feedback and data to understand customer needs, pain points, and improvement areas and translates them into actionable insights to enhance future deliverables.
  • Assists in functional responsibilities in areas such as market analysis, marketing engagement, etc.
  • Communicates and builds relationships with individuals at various levels within the sales team.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
  • Engineering and/or technical degree highly wanted but not required.
  • Travel required: >25% of the time (when possible)

  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence
  • Superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills
  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, conflict resolution, and management
  • Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to customer issues
  • Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies

Impact / Scope / Complexity

  • Reports to Business Category manager at Global level.
  • Participates and often leads cross- functional engagement teams within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Presents business cases to EXEC-level and above audiences.
  • Creates new consulting frameworks for delivery and contributes to tools, templates, and intellectual capital
  • Decision-making implications extend to multiple functions and/or businesses and impact the business directly
  • Anticipates emerging trends that may impact the overall business model
