oin the team as an entry level Test and Design Certification Engineer 1.

This role is onsite, Chula Vista, California. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

• You will support the development of test design packages based on engineering requirements.
• You will create and modify 3D CAD models under the guidance of senior engineers and designers.
• You will produce and revise 2D manufacturing drawings in accordance with engineering standards.
• You will assist with manufacturing assembly documentation and planning.
• You will maintain part configurations and documentation within assigned test designs.
• You will support laboratory build activities by working with engineers and technicians to resolve design-related issues.
• You will collaborate with project engineers and cross-functional teams to meet test objectives and project milestones.
• You will participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback and supporting technical presentations as needed.
• You will report progress on assigned tasks, assist with troubleshooting, and communicate potential risks to project leads.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• Basic proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting (required). CATIA V5 experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

*Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, course work, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and design documentation.
• Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) systems or engineering change processes.
• Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with testing, validation, or laboratory environments through coursework or internships.
• Exposure to PLM systems such as ENOVIA or Teamcenter.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
