Project Title
EMEA Product Flow Mapping & Logistics Flow Library (Isotanks, Dry Containers, Road Pack Primary Distribution)
Project Type
Logistics process mapping / Data structuring / Visibility enablement
Project Owner / Sponsor
Project Lead (Student)
Solène Sander
Geographical Scope
Europe (EMEA focus – Europe)
1. Problem / Opportunity Statement
Currently, Corteva does not have a single, structured, and documented view of end‑to‑end product flows across Europe, especially for:
Bulk deliveries via isotanks
Imports into Europe via dry containers and isotanks
Packed road transportation flows within Europe
This lack of consolidated visibility limits:
End‑to‑end supply chain understanding
Risk analysis (single points of failure, compliance exposure)
Network optimization and future automation initiatives
Knowledge retention (flows are known by individuals, not institutionalized)
2. Project Objectives
Primary Objective
Create a centralized and standardized library of all major product flows in Europe, covering bulk, containerized, and packed road transportation.
Specific Objectives
Map all bulk isotank flows in Europe, identifying for each flow:
Shipping point (origin plant / supplier)
Storage point(s) (intermediate terminals, warehouses)
Final destination (plant, warehouse, customer)
This input is needed to extend/update the isotank tracking tool in place for Cernay
Apply the same mapping logic to:
Imports into Europe using dry containers
Packed road transportation flows within Europe
Define and document a standard flow structure usable across all product categories.
Build a sustainable flow library that can be:
Maintained over time
Reused for analysis, onboarding, audits, and network design
3. Scope
In Scope
Bulk product flows in isotanks (Europe)
Dry container imports into Europe
Packed road transportation flows in Europe
Identification of:
Shipping point
Storage point(s)
Destination
Transport mode(s)
Standard flow classification and naming convention
Creation of a structured “flow library” (Excel / SharePoint / database‑ready format)
Out of Scope
Cost modeling or rate negotiation
Carrier performance evaluation
Contractual reviews
Detailed route optimization (distance, CO₂, cost)
4. Key Deliverables
Flow Mapping Inventory
Master list of all identified flows by transport type
Standard Flow Template
One harmonized structure for all flows
Flow Library
Central repository (SharePoint / OneDrive) with:
Searchable, structured data
Clear ownership and update logic
Summary & Insights Document
Key observations (complexity, redundancies, risks)
Recommendations for future use
5. Success Criteria
≥90% of known European flows documented
One standardized structure used across all transport modes
Flow library validated by EMEA Logistics
Flow library reusable for:
Network design
Risk assessments
Digital / AI initiatives
6. Stakeholders
EMEA Logistics
Order Fulfillment
Transportation & Distribution
Warehousing
Trade & Compliance (indirectly)
7. Timeline (High Level – indicative)
Phase 1: Bulk isotank flows mapping
Phase 2: Dry container imports mapping
Phase 3: Packed road flows mapping
Phase 4: Consolidation, validation & handover
