The opportunity:
This role is critical for driving strategic growth, identifying new business opportunities, and optimizing the value and performance of our existing customer base within Service Business, Hitachi Energy (Thailand).
How you’ll make an impact:
You will develop and implement strategic plans for market penetration, competitive positioning, and long-term growth in the Thai market, conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend assessment to identify emerging opportunities and threats, contribute to the formulation of regional and global strategies and ensure alignment with local business objectives.
You will identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including new customers, market segments, products, and services, develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, and industry partners, lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and commercial agreements, collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams to translate market needs into viable solutions.
You will develop and execute strategies to maximize the value of Hitachi Energy's existing install base in Thailand, identify opportunities for upgrades, modernization, service contracts, and cross-selling/up-selling to existing customers, monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address potential issues to ensure long-term loyalty, analyze install base data to identify trends, predict customer needs, and develop targeted retention and growth initiatives.
You will track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to strategy execution, business development activities, and install base performance, prepare regular reports and presentations for management on market trends, business opportunities, and strategic progress.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, Economics or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in strategy, business development, or a closely related commercial role within the energy, power systems, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful business strategies and achieving growth targets, proven track record of managing and growing an install base, including driving service sales and customer retention initiatives. Experience working in the Thai market or a similar emerging market is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management and CRM software, strong financial acumen and understanding of business cases and return on investment, strategic Thinker, Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to travel as required within Thailand. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both written and verbal) in English and Thai.
