The Data and Analytics team at Bankwest is responsible for leading the delivery of world-class data and AI capabilities to create digital banking experiences that are easy to understand and effortless to use.

Our focus is leveraging Bankwest’s data, data science tools and techniques, AI and decisioning technology to anticipate and meet our customers’ needs.

As a Senior Manager in the Data Science, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Data Science team and developing & executing AI initiatives and strategies to uplift the advanced analytics capability of Bankwest.

You will be the driving force for outcomes and manage a wide range of stakeholders to embed the knowledge required to deliver on our business and customer outcomes.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few. We are seeking people who are:

• Passionate about leading, supporting and developing people to deliver amazing outcomes.
• Excited about building market leading modelling and visualization assets and tackling new challenging business problems in data science by using AI responsibly.
• Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical data science models to find unique solutions that add strategic value to the business.
• Collaborative in nature to work alongside risk and product teams, curious in solving data problems and courageous in positively influencing senior stakeholders.
• Able to think creatively and solve problems that are both operational and strategic in nature, using tools and techniques.

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them.

• Demonstrated experience in building visualization platforms to support and meet the standards of responsible AI models.
• Solid skills in data analytics, visualization and reporting tools.
• Experience leading projects and models using Python and SQL.
