Overview of Job  

Full time (hybrid) maternity cover role 

Are you a digital and social native with a proven track record of shaping innovative, market-leading solutions in response to client briefs? 

Are you experienced in spearheading change and implementing new digital processes and solutions that streamline operational efficiency and excellence? 
 
We’re seeking a Head of Branded Content, Digital Development to join our Branded Content Team for a maternity cover role. This is a unique role that drives digital creativity and excellence within the Branded Content team and develops Global’s Digital Branded Content output.

Measures of success –  
 
In the first few months, you would have: 

  • An understanding of how radio and digital work together and fit into wider media plans, while retaining editorial integrity. 

  • Gained a great working knowledge of Global brands, from how we engage audiences to what our audiences love. 

  • Built strong & positive relationships with internal stakeholders, working closely with the wider Branded Content team, Editorial, Programming, Digital, Innovations and Partnerships teams. 

  • Contributed digital and social-first ideas for client briefs and proactive projects. 

Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Creating great, innovative content. You’ll enjoy working creatively and coming up with multiple ideas across Global's portfolio with a focus on digital and social. You will brainstorm daily. 

  • Lead and inspire digital creativity both in response to client briefs and when working on proactive projects with Programming and Partnerships teams. 

  • Understand the evolving digital landscape and how new tools and technologies such as AI can help enhance productivity. 

  • Be the go-to digital expert in Branded Content, continually looking for new ideas and solutions to take to market, and new ways to improve how we work. 

  • Be an expert in digital and social signalling and compliance, i.e. ensuring digital branded content adheres to ASA Guidelines and the CAP Code. 

  • Be a Global Player champion, with a deep understanding of the app, how it works and what opportunities it presents to Branded Content campaigns. 

  • Mentor and coach Branded Content Producers and Commercial Video teams to fulfil their creative potential and unlock the biggest, best ideas in brainstorm/branded content. 

  • Manage & develop Digital Editors, to ensure we achieve a high and compliant output across our digital channels while equipping them to be digital experts. 

  • Run creative workshops to help develop digital knowledge across the business 

  • Shape proactive solutions and present these to senior stakeholders and board members. 

  • Work with Branded Content Director of Operations and Head of Branded Content, Development and Operations to ensure social and digital project workflows and processes are streamlined. 

  • Every project will be different, and every client and every Global brand brings an outstanding set of requirements, so we need someone with positivity, energy and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships at one time, all whilst delivering outstanding results. 

What you’ll need: 

  • A great knowledge of and passion for all things digital (digital media/social media platforms and trends). 

  • Proven experience leading creative sessions and workshops, to help guide best practice, process or change. 

  • The ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations.  

  • Experience as a people manager, leading a team to success. 

  • As a natural relationship builder and problem solver, you’ll have the ability to respond to the needs and expectations of others. 

  • You'll be a team player and people manager, with proven experience of empowering and developing your team.  

  • A knowledge of radio / interest in music and news is advantageous but not essential.
