The Opportunity:

We're seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer with a passion for transforming data from our new client-facing services and pricing products into actionable insights to further improve our products. This team builds solutions for customers who are looking to understand Flexport service capabilities and pricing, putting you at the center of defining new processes, consolidating data, and helping drive client conversion. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with engineering, business, and product stakeholders to dive deep into existing data, help define new data needed to drive pricing elasticity decisions, and build dashboards/reports to inform and drive behavior within Flexport and with our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with our customers to gain a deep understanding of how they view our services/pricing and how Flexport can use our data to help answer their questions
• Work closely with our business, operations, and technology teams to build datasets, metrics and reports to make data driven decisions
• Become a domain expert: Understand the market, competitive landscape, and how Flexport fits into it all
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define product requirements and translate them into effective design solutions for new products focused on order management and booking management tools. 

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Engineer, Product Analyst, or similar role
• Strong SQL fluency required – you will be building complex logic to extract and transform data into actionable insights. Experience with Looker and Snowflake a plus.
• Experience collaborating with business, product, engineering teams to define and develop operational and product metrics.
• Executive communication skills and empathy to understand and discover business pain points and build solutions to improve the user experience at all levels of the global trade process
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
