ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input into overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals.
  • Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind.
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives.
  • Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience.
  • Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments.
  • Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers and other members of staff.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks, etc.
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
  • Identify and refine down the most suitable talent from available candidates.
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews.
  • Assess candidates’ information, including Resumes, portfolios and references.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders, according to brand standards in all channels requires, including workday.
  • Keep constantly audit of the requisitions and time to fill in the talent acquisition system.
  • Ensure that new leaders are trained in the Talent Acquisition & Workday processes within 30 days of hiring.
  • Update and keep on track in the talent acquisition tendencies not only local but also national.
  • Coordinate within 30 days with Talent Development the onboarding for the new associates.
  • Control, updating and proper following of the data on the Wok Day system, reflected in the local payroll system.
  • Ensemble of the associate file to be passed to HR Generalist.
  • 100% compliance of the talent acquisition & new hires files corporate standards.
  • Propose new initiatives for the acquisition & retention of the human talent need it.
  • Cooperate in the HR global initiatives.
  • Responsible for the biweekly reports, regarding to: Head Count, attrition, vacancies, new hires, time to fill and onboarding compliance.
  • Coordinate in partnership with Talent Development & HR Generalist, the agenda for new leaders.
  • Ensure that the users, accesses, and tools are coordinated by the Manager, to assist and close positively the new hires ‘experience.
  • Ensure the annually revision and update of the job descriptions of the property.
  • Comply with all the requirements of internal process and audits.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 2 years of work experience in talent acquisition or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with social media, RESUME databases, and professional networks
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience in using different tools for talent solutions to proactively source candidates.
  • A keen understanding of the requirements for each role in the company.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, or similar.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar.
  • Certification obtained from the HR Certification Institute would be a bonus.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (Spanish/English).
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with this position acting as a team leader. 
  • Must possess advanced computer skills.
  • Must be highly organized, provide attention to detail and understand a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn, study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information to improve new practices or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance.
  • Ability to apply supervisory/management soft skills and environment adaptability.
  • Must possess persuasive communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, self and influence professionals, employees.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and local laws.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent education/experience required.

Experience

Two years minimum of employment in a related position (example Human Resources), previous experience in international hospitality industry highly preferred.
