What You’ll Do

As a Dodge Machine Operator, you’ll be part of our Engineered Fastening Team located in Danbury, CT. You’ll get to: 

  • Operate three multi-spindle screw machines or cleaning equipment and/or packaging and sorting equipment.
  • Keep the machine loaded with material (Brass rods), and oil and coolant throughout the day.
  • Keep individual lots completely free from mixing, damage, or any form of contamination.
  • Maintain setups by replacing minor tooling
  • Inspect own work to prescribed quality standards, using manual micrometer, gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Meet production standards,
  • Observe all safety and housekeeping requirements.
  • Enter daily production in the computer system, JDE.

  • Strong communication skills and be able to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use a manual micrometer is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and computer awareness.
  • Previous experience as a machine operator, at least one year
  • Ability to stand/walk approximately 95% of day
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Full dexterity of hand/arms.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, etc. to run/operate machine.

Core hours on 2nd shift are 3pm to 11:30pm when on 8 hours, when scheduled for 9 hours:3:30pm t0 1:00am, on 10 hours: 4pm to 2:30am.

When scheduled for 10 hours, 10 hours is required Monday through Friday. Saturday/Sunday overtime is available.

This is a union position. Annual increases guaranteed. 4-month in role increase and 22 month in role increase also guaranteed per contract.
