SENIOR ACCOUNTANT for R2R Intercompany Team
 

Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Ensure accurate and timely complex accounting and reporting in accordance with Group deadlines and guidelines for BC Riga on monthly, quarterly and year end basis including Financial Statements preparation and participation in audit process;
• Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area;
• Quality review of other employee work;
• Ensure close dialogue with Business units and various stakeholders in Europe and North America;
• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines;
• Perform intercompany transactions reconciliation, resolve discrepancies and errors;
• Participate in challenging improvement projects in accounting/ reporting area.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Strong analytical and accounting skills;
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
• Strong process analytical skills and process improvement capabilities;
• Ability to work in a changing environment;
• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage);
• Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders;
• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar;
• Solid experience (at least 3 years) in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment;
• ACCA certificate or started ACCA studies is considered as an asset.
