About the Role:

We're looking for a seasoned Lead Database Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our large-scale data solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of Oracle SQL, PL SQL, Data Modeling, Python, and proven leadership capabilities. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity and performance, and guiding a team towards best practices and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

                Data Modelling : Design Database objects like tables and views

• ETL Development and Optimization: Design, build, and fine-tune high-performance ETL pipelines using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, leveraging your expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
• Technical Leadership: Mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, best practices, and continuous learning
• Collaboration and Solution Design: Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions
• Data Integrity and Security: Implement and maintain processes to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and optimal performance across our data platforms
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, advocating for and implementing improvements to our data infrastructure and processes

What You'll Need:

• Extensive Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a closely related field
• Database Expertise: Mastery of Oracle SQL, including advanced query optimization and performance tuning techniques
• Data warehousing concepts : Understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools
• Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in PL/SQL and stored procedures for data engineering tasks
• Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, manage projects effectively, and foster a positive and productive work environment
• Data Platform Knowledge: Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, distributed computing architectures, and cloud platforms
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Bonus Points:

• DevOps Mindset: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Other Programming language : Experience with other programming language/scripting language like Python/Java
• Real-Time Data Experience: Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
