THE OPPORTUNITY

This position will function as the Manager for the Cowden, IL & Findlay. IL facilities of Primient Primary Products Grain.  In addition to facility management, this position will also work closely with the other managers in the region and group to procure grain for the network.

Responsibilities/Duties

This position will have management and oversight of the financial performance of the Cowden, IL & Findlay, IL facilities of Primient Primary Products Grain. This includes:

  • P & L Performance
  • Grain Origination
  • Develop marketing and origination programs.
  • Basis Trading
  • Inventory Management
  • Hedging Grain through the futures market
  • Compliance with Environmental Standards
    Risk management
    Cost reduction initiatives
    Budget/forecasting
  • Work with Operations team to ensure elevator safety policies are followed.
  • Responsible for Elevator office facilities and managing commercial staff
  • Work as a team along with the other Primient Primary Products Grain facilities across the region and group for procurement of grain

ABOUT YOU

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a country elevator or grain related business
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with Grain Marketing Software
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office   
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agri-Business or related field preferred
