Postion Summary
We’re looking for a Senior AV Technical Program Manager to join CAA! Working closely with the AV/UC team, you will lead the design, implementation and management of cutting-edge AV technologies to both our domestic US and international offices. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has a strong aptitude for problem solving and communication, embraces cross-functional team collaboration, prides themselves with staying on the cutting edge of enterprise AV technologies, and has a passion for customer service.
Essential Functions
Establish relationships with domestic US & international offices and act as the first point of contact for all AV Build needs
Lead the design and implementation of AV collaboration spaces and broadcast systems in concert with professional service providers and the AV/UC team, to drive global technology standards and best practices
Manage and deliver programs for the AV Engineering team, including developing project plans and budgets, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery
Develop and manage metrics to track the health of services and ensure program success
Develop service model for the execution of live events across major office hubs
Manage integration vendors, supply chain distributors, and internal partners to resolve issues quickly and ensure scope of work agreements are being met
Collaborate with Facilities, Real Estate, Security and other build teams to provide planning, coordination, logistics and execution for AV deployments
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for AV Deployments and identify areas for process improvement and drive continuous enhancement initiatives
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, including translating company and product strategies into technical roadmaps and requirements
Provide cross functional communications on project status and follow up on punch list items with integration vendors on new builds
Maintain project workloads in Jira, leveraging Agile methodologies and best practices
Document standards and provide cross training for junior personnel and IT Service Desk teams on basic troubleshooting procedures, as well as best practices
Identify when equipment replacement purchases or upgrades are needed and develop overall equipment lifecycle policies
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the audiovisual industry and leverage new innovations to improve program delivery
Requirements
12+ years of advanced technical program management experience, particularly in large enterprise environments
8+ years of experience in AV engineering in a corporate environment, with a strong emphasis on high-level system design, integration, and strategic planning.
Professional degree in a related field.
Strong track record of successfully coordinating multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion
AVIXA CTS Certification
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams, including AV technicians and external vendors
Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, including IT, Facilities, Real Estate, and executive teams, to align AV solutions with business objectives
Experience in managing and measuring program success using metrics and data analysis
Extensive experience with high-end AV technologies, including video walls, large-scale broadcast systems, and those commonly associated with live event venues.
Knowledge of AV transmission protocols including UDP, H.323, VoIP and SIP
Knowledge of video conferencing technologies (e.g, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Strong Communication skills – Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization – Business stakeholders, senior managers, and C-Level Execs
Passion for customer support – A drive to help customers get what they need to do their jobs the best they can. A sense of urgency and satisfaction from assisting customers in getting what they need on time.
Preferred Skills
Certifications such as CTS-D, CTS-I, PMP or relevant manufacturer certifications
Experience troubleshooting enterprise and professional AV technologies including, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Tricaster
2+ years of customer support experience in a technical environment
Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Asana
Knowledge of Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) compliant technologies
Experience with digital signage and display systems
Knowledge of AV networking protocols and standards
Knowledge of AV programming languages (e.g, Crestron, SIMPL, AMX, Extron)
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $148K - $200K . This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
