Senior Analyst Value Analysis


 

What you will be doing:

Senior Analyst, Value Analysis will be part of the system wide, Physician-led Value Analysis (VA) process. The Senior Analyst, Value Analysis will be tasked with assessing the impact of product function and cost across the Clinical Spend landscape utilizing cost, quality, and patient outcome data to identify opportunities. The Senior Analyst is responsible for creating and managing financial spend analysis, conducting supply chain operations analysis, conducting research, collecting, and analyzing data, and advising on next steps or changes based on interpreting results.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1 – 100%

  • Create and interpret spreadsheets, presentations, and other deliverables using Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio, and Project, as necessary.

  • Use expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel (Pivot Tables and V-lookups), PowerPoint, Access, project management software (e.g., MS Project) and flowcharting software (e.g., Visio) to create client deliverables accurately, with attention to detail, and on time.

  • Perform analysis of medical and surgical products to identify savings opportunities or perform analysis of supply chain operations activities and data to identify operational enhancements, transformation, and savings.

  • Responsible for client and internal presentation creation and development of quality deliverables.

  • Participate in identifying business and technical problems and work with team to create innovative solutions.

  • Responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and using results to drive recommendations.

  • Participate in assessment, design, and implementation activities, which may involve client meetings, observations, data collection and analysis and operational tactical work.
  • Use knowledge of supply chain, finance, healthcare, or consulting operations background to assist clients in achieving maximum savings and efficient processes.

  • Identify key stakeholders and establish ongoing relationships to achieve highest level of engagement.

  • Identify cost savings opportunities based on organizational spend

  • Measure and document the financial, quality, and service success of the value analysis process

  • Educate and orient client Value Analysis Team members regarding processes as needed

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Value Analysis Team Chairs, Champions, and Team members.

  • Facilitate consensus by preparing and presenting product, service, or equipment impact analysis.

  • Review clinical spend landscapes, Spend Advisor, enterprise resource planning (ERP) reports and new item reports to identify opportunities.

  • Review new product or product change requests

  •  Coordinate product evaluations

  • Identify utilization and waste reduction opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Buyers and Analysts in support of the Value Analysis function.

  • Develop meeting agendas, create data presentations, develop, and manage project plans.

  • Communicate with Leadership on a regular basis

  • Work with clinicians, materials management, and business analysis colleagues to ensure value-based utilization of products and services.

  • Keep team informed of value analysis trends, tools, best practices

  • Support, direct, oversee implementation strategies across the organization

  • Collaborate on contract parameters, cost, market share, rebate incentives

  • Communicate Value Analysis activities, results, and decisions throughout the enterprise.

  • Use data-driven solutions to further efficiency within the organization

  • Assist in supporting Value Analysis initiatives through the organization’s contract process

  • Work effectively in a winning team environment, building positive client and peer relationships.

  • Grow healthcare supply chain subject matter knowledge


​Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)


 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • CVAHP

  • Intermediate analytical/financial capacity, within a consulting firm, in healthcare supply chain, healthcare provider supply chain, etc.

  • Fluent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite i.e.: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Project, Access/SQL experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from their efforts

  • Business Operations Analysis

  • Supply Chain Operations Management

  • Operational Process Improvements

Experience:

  • 2+ years combined clinical experience in a hospital setting with direct Value Analysis experience in an integrated delivery network (IDN) or other large system.

  • Experience in analyzing healthcare processes toward improving patient outcomes.

Education:

  • Bachelors

Working Conditions: Remote


 

Travel Requirements: Travel 21-40% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $51,000 - $95,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
