YOUR ROLE

The Test Development Engineer on our team shall be responsible in launching innovative automotive products. Aptiv designs and manufactures Infotainment, Advanced Safety, and Cockpit Electronics systems for leading OEMs worldwide. You’ll work with the Manufacturing Development Team to develop and implement test solutions for the introduction of new products.

In your daily job you will:

• Develop advanced functional test and product programming and develop hardware & software solutions for global manufacturing sites
• Develop test software building blocks which are globally reusable across product lines across the sites
• Research test equipment & fixture suppliers, develop standard statement of work templates, and provide equipment costing information for globally source equipment solutions
• Work in cooperation with product development engineering competencies to ensure our designs are optimized for test and programming
• Develop standard practices and procedures which are followed by the global Mfg. Test Engineering organization
• Develop and administer test-related training materials and classes for the Mfg. Test Engineering organization

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• 3 Year Experience on test development for automotive electronics or related industries (Medical, Aerospace) on New Program Introduction (NPI)
• Bachelor degree on Electronics, Mechatronics, Systems. Analog & digital electronics.
• Proficient software development skills in one or more of the following software languages: National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, C 
• Knowledge of Board level Programming for Microcontrollers and Memories.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach. 
• Knowledge in 6 Sigma and statistical methods. 
• Good problem solving capability.                          
• Ability to work and live a global network environment.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style.
• English fluent (must)
