How you will do it

  • Design intuitive and creative learning or performance support tools and sales programs.

  • Develop training with an emphasis on innovative learning and performance support that could be used globally.

  • Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team.

  • Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business.

  • Work very closely with team members who will develop your designs.

  • Partner and collaborate with Commercial (Sales) focused learning experience designers (peers) located across the globe.

  • Driven curation strategies that pull content from multiple sources across our learning ecosystem.

  • Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact on the business.

  • Create and support a strong global team environment.

  • Engage commercial partners to develop capability building programs.

  • Facilitate commercial and commercial coaching programs as required.

  • Participate in organizational development exercises including group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis.

  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in instructional design and training.

  • Understand technology to effectively design your learning and performance support tools.

  • Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub (LXP), LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn (video streaming service)

  • Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies.

What we look for

  • Experience:

    • 8-12 years of designing and developing learning solutions preferred (exposure to Commercial / Sales, Industrial Tech B2B solutions preferred)

    • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and storyboarding, working for the Training & eLearning industry.

    • At least 1-2 years of experience in stakeholder communication.

  • Education:

    • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Education or Graduate or PG from a recognized university.

    • Demonstrates certain levels of proficiency in evaluations, Kirkpatrick model, Philips ROI model, ADDIE, Agile, cultural, and regional adjustments, change management, and adult learning theory.

  • Technical: JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized.  Don’t worry, we’ll help you with that!

  • Quality: Produces content and materials with the highest polish when required, but knows when to create fast and informal.

  • Professional: Has personal ethics, does quality work, and has a positive attitude.

  • Articulate: Has strong writing and communication skills.
