Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description:

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller & Chief Accounting Officer in the US, you will oversee the finance and accounting operations and liaise with different finance stakeholders within the Asia Pacific region.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee day to day financial operations, including approval of purchase requisition, payments & CAPEX projects
  • Supervise month-end closing and compile financial and management reports to Corporate to ensure it is complied with Group’s policies and guidance
  • Partner with all levels of the business to deliver financial analysis and support to assist in strategic decision-making
  • Responsible for the group cost accounting & inventory management
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support Treasury team on cash flow management and FOREX hedge
  • Responsible for managing other managers of staff
  • Perform day to day functional responsibility and/or conduct financial analysis to identify and evaluate risk and exposure; recommend appropriate action
  • Set and communicate direction for team to deliver results in line with strategic goals
  • Guide other managers to achieve optimal team performance and have input/final review on the performance evaluations completed by lower-level managers
  • Research complex GAAP issues escalated from staff, provide direction on technical accounting matters
  • Lead and coordinate multi-functional and cross regions ad hoc projects

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified CPA & degree holder with a minimum of 12 years of related experience
  • Multinational exposure with business acumen in working with senior management
  • At least 5 years financial operation experience, preferably with costing background
  • Experience in project management & system enhancement
  • Experience in Oracle is an advantage
  • Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
  • Hands on and collaborative leadership mindset
  • Immediately available is an advantage
